Michael Taylor lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with his family. His love of cartooning and humor has allowed him to create “Doodlewags” which is his brand for creating humorous animal art. The clever titles for the paintings brings a little extra humor to the paintings. A lot of his inspiration comes from his dog Norman. He is also the creator of the cartoon strip “Soul Improvement” has been published in greeting cards and as a book.
What’s with the green ribbon in the signature? In 2007, Mike was diagnosed with leukemia and received a stem-cell transplant and is now cancer free. The green ribbon recognizes stem cell transplant survivors. Mike contributes his faith, family and God’s gift of humor to help him through this difficult time. The bible verse “A cheerful heart is good medicine.” Proverbs 17:22 has become the theme for his business.
